The Flop may be entered before your hand. Turn requires a complete Flop. River requires a complete Flop and Turn.

Simulations

AUTOPokerScope selects a recommended target for the current hand and street, refines cumulatively, and may stop early after repeated six-decimal stability.
Automatic exactPokerScope uses exact calculation when enumerating every legal state is more efficient.
Current rangesMonte Carlo ranges are Wilson intervals calculated from the completed simulations.

Probability assumptions

Win chanceThe chance that you are the only winner.
Tie chanceThe chance that you share the best hand.

Unknown burn cards do not change probabilities because their identities are random and unobserved. Known opponent cards are blockers and immediately condition the result.

Quick Start

Enter your cards: Click on your two hole cards or type them (e.g., "As Kd"). The board will fill as you progress through streets.

Add opponents: Click the opponent + button to add opponents. Enter their cards if you know them in the "Opponent cards" modal.

View results: Odds update automatically. Click "Final Hand Distribution" to see hand rankings. Check "Draws & Outs" for improvement chances.

Cards & Input

Entering cards: Cards can be entered as rank + suit. Ranks: A, K, Q, J, T (10), 2-9. Suits: C/♣, D/♦, H/♥, S/♠.

Input formats: Spaces optional: "AsKd", "As Kd", "As,Kd" all work. Case-insensitive: "as", "AS", "As" accepted. Use T or 10 for tens.

Paste support: Paste multiple cards at once. The app recognizes complete cards and auto-advances.

Win, Tie & Loss

Win: Your hand beats all opponents' hands. You win the entire pot.

Tie: Your hand ties with one or more opponents. The pot is split among all players with the best hand.

Loss: At least one opponent has a better hand. You lose your stake in this matchup.

Note: Probabilities depend on the stage (preflop, flop, turn, river) and show expected frequencies across all possible board runouts.

Expected Pot Share (Equity)

What it means: Your expected percentage of the pot in a showdown with current cards against the field.

Calculation: Equity = (win% × 1) + (tie% × 1/tie_way). For example, 50% win + 50% tie (2-way) = 50% + 25% = 75% equity.

Interpretation: If you played this exact situation 100 times, you'd win about this percentage of the total pot on average.

Long-term value: In repeated situations, taking odds better than your equity is profitable; worse odds loses money.

Exact vs Monte Carlo

Exact: Evaluates every possible outcome. Used when calculation is fast enough. Shows a green "EXACT" badge. Maximum precision.

Monte Carlo: Samples random outcomes instead of evaluating all possibilities. Used for complex calculations (many opponents, many unknown cards). Faster but less precise.

Accuracy: Target trials determine precision. More trials = tighter confidence intervals. Adjust via Configuration.

When used: Early streets (preflop, flop) usually exact. Later streets or many unknowns may use Monte Carlo with confidence bands.

Final Hand Distribution

What it shows: Breakdown of what hand you end up with by river (e.g., High Card 23%, Pair 47%, Two Pair 15%).

Interpretation: Shows the likely final strength of your hand. Higher categories (Full House, Quads) are rarer but more powerful.

Use case: Understand whether your hand improves on the river or stays weak. Helps assess draw viability.

Draws & Outs

Outs: Cards that improve your hand on the next street (e.g., 4 outs for an open-ended straight draw).

Clean vs Dirty: Clean outs improve your hand without helping opponents. Dirty outs may help multiple players or complete better hands for opponents.

Immediate hit probability: Chance your out hits on the very next card.

By river probability: Chance your draw completes by showdown (river).

Access: Use the shortcut shown in the section heading or the Keyboard Shortcuts list.

Opponent Cards

Adding known cards: Use either + card slot or type cards like As, Kd, 10h, Ts, or compact strings like AsKd. PokerScope formats ranks, suits, and spaces automatically.

Opponent read: With a complete known opponent hand and a Flop or later, the modal shows that opponent's current made-hand read.

Pairwise result: When at least one card is known, the modal shows your Win/Tie/Loss and Expected Pot Share against that opponent only. Your main Win Chance still requires beating every active opponent.

Modal access: Click the opponent card control or use the shortcut in Keyboard Shortcuts.

Unknown cards: Leave empty for opponents whose cards you don't know. They're modeled as uniformly random holdings.

Recalculation: Odds update immediately when you enter or change opponent cards.

Opponent Possibilities

Uniform random model: Unknown opponent cards are assumed to be uniformly distributed from remaining cards in the deck.

No bias: No special handling for position, betting patterns, or hand ranges. Every legal holding is equally likely.

Limitation: This is a simplified model. Real opponents play tighter ranges. Use as a baseline for pot odds calculations.

Adjusting: Enter known cards to change opponent strength. Or run scenarios: "What if opponent has AK?"

Decision Helper

Purpose: Should I call? Compares your expected value against call cost using the main table Expected Pot Share.

Basic inputs: Pot now (chips in pot), Amount to call (chips you need to put in).

Recommendation: CALL FAVOURED, FOLD FAVOURED, or CLOSE DECISION based on equity vs pot odds.

Formula: Break-even Expected Pot Share is C / (P + C), where P is pot now and C is amount to call. It does not use an individual opponent's hand or result.

Advanced concepts: Rake and raise-specific EV need extra assumptions, so they stay out of the primary helper.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Command chat: / opens it; pressing / again hides it without moving focus. Tab completes a suggestion; Esc closes the topmost interface.

Table selection: Shift+H/F/T/R selects Hand, Flop, Turn, or River. Shift+B selects the Board; Shift+A selects every table slot; Shift+P or Enter opens the picker; Shift+C, Backspace, Shift+D, Shift+X, or Delete clears/deletes as applicable.

Players and outcomes: Shift+0–9 sets active opponents; Shift+- folds one; Shift++ adds one; Shift+S opens Opponent Cards; W/T/L focus Win, Tie, or Loss; = recalculates odds.

Section navigation: R Current Read, H Final Hand Distribution, D Draws & Next-Card Analysis, Q Decision Helper, O Opponent Possibilities, P Expected Pot Share, F Most Likely Finish, S Session History, G Outcome History, and C Configuration.

Confidence Ranges

What they are: Upper and lower bounds on the true probability, based on the sample size.

95% confidence: If you repeated this scenario many times, the true value would fall in this range 95% of the time.

Tight vs wide: Small sample = wide ranges (uncertain). Large sample = tight ranges (precise).

Overlapping bands: If win and loss confidence intervals overlap, the decision is close. Small edge = variance risk.

Technical Details

Hand evaluation: Uses 5-card poker hand rankings (High Card → Royal Flush).

7-card best: From 7 available cards (2 hole + 5 board), the best 5-card hand is chosen automatically.

Ties: When hands tie, pot is split equally among all winning players.

Caching: Results are cached to speed up repeat calculations. Cached results show "Cached" notation.

Board states: Preflop = 0 cards, Flop = 3, Turn = 4, River = 5. Each state calculates complete runouts.
